Hello. I am the person who requested help with my machine. I tightened the screws which controlled the rotation of the bobbin case as you suggested. I am an 86 year old great grandmother and have always been curious as to how things operated. I am now trying to figure out why my auto threader doesn't come down far enough to match the needle hole. I am also successfully learning how to open old machines in order to clean, oil and grease them, unfortunately manufacturers are make new cases which are hard to open.
